SOLID STATE LOGIC GRAVITY MAM SYSTEM INTEGRATORS FOCUS ON GOVERNMENT INSTALLATIONS

Danish Parliament Gravity System to Go Online in November

AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS – Government agencies from around the world are focusing on the Solid State Logic Gravity Media Asset Management System. In an age where government agencies handle huge volumes of media from video of public sessions to top secret documents, Gravity offers the turnkey power necessary to ingest, edit, archive and distribute key information to appropriate locations, streamlining government processes and delivering greater transparency for public outreach.

“We are receiving great interest from government agencies from around the world about Gravity,? says Shaun McTernan, Gravity product manager for Solid State Logic’s video division. “Total Media Systems, Inc. in Canada, Communications Engineering, Inc. in Virginia and Studios in Copenhagen, all from our world-wide network of integrators, are currently working on government installations. The Danish Parliament system provided by Studios is expected to go online in November. We believe Gravity will take media asset management for government agencies to a whole new level of production and throughput.?

“Even under a very stressed time schedule, working with SSL has been a pleasure,? says Michael Sjoerslev, systems integration engineer for Studios, Copenhagen. “SSL has even managed to implement special features only for the Danish Parliament. The technology engineered into Gravity by SSL has simplified many of the workflows for us. For example, having the encoders creating a H264 live stream for the web removed the need for external web cast equipment. Also, the user GUI has been very well received by our operators in the Danish Parliament. Having the power for each user to freely layout and design the screen view for their particular workflow is brilliant. Everyone is extremely happy with the integration of Gravity into Danish Parliament public proceedings.?

Gravity Media Asset Management systems pull together the essential elements of encoding, storage, transcoding, and decoding digital media to provide an integrated system for the ingesting, editing and playout of content for the broadcast, education, government, corporate and military markets.
