NEW YORK, NY – Gepco (Stand 151), a General Cable company and industry leader in the manufacturing of professional audio and video cables, will be featuring its complete line of fiber cable assemblies at AES 2009, October 9-12.

Gepco’s new and expanded fiber optic cable assembly offerings include the Neutrik OpticalCon, Amphenol TAC-4 and TAC-12, Lemo SMTPE 304M hybrid fiber camera cables, ST/SC/LC multi-mode or single-mode snakes, indoor permanent installation cables, as well as tactical and portable-use cables.

All of Gepco’s fiber cable assemblies are factory-terminated by Gepco and feature precision machine-polished contacts that offer UPC quality to achieve -55dB typical return loss specifications. This process helps to attain excellent optical clarity and alignment, reducing back reflection and minimizing insertion loss. For further transmission assurance, all assemblies are 100% tested and verified for consistent performance and feature premium quality connectors and components.

“To meet the increased demand for fiber optic applications in the pro-audio, broadcast and commercial AV markets, we have expanded and enhanced our optical fiber product line,” says Scott Fehl, Product Marketing Manager for Gepco Brand cable. “The combination of our cable products, distributed components and value-added services allow Gepco to function as a single-source supplier for fiber connectivity solutions to these markets.”
