ADVANCED BROADCAST SOLUTIONS JOINS EXPERIENCE CHURCH.TV TO PRODUCE FALL EDITION OF AVL EXPO
Second Event This Year Illustrates Need for AV Education within Worship Community
SEATAC, WA, October 15, 2009 – Premier systems integration firm Advanced Broadcast Solutions (ABS), in collaboration with Experience Church.tv®, will produce the next Audio, Visual, Lighting Conference and Expo (AVL Expo) on Nov. 6-7, 2009, at Experience Church in Puyallup, Wash. Representatives from more than 100 churches attended the inaugural AVL Expo last March, and an even larger crowd is expected for the second event.
“The amazing response from the first AVL Expo earlier this year prompted us to move forward with a second conference in November, said Mark Siegel, President of ABS. “AVL Expo is all about helping large and small congregations maximize their use of AV technology, no matter what budget restrictions they might have.
A diverse group of AV challenges will be addressed during the two-day conference program, including video projector selection, video production switching, and lighting. There will also be a hands-on video production seminar and live audio mixing tutorial, plus a discussion on sermon and video integration for pastors. The exhibit hall will feature ABS and more than a dozen other companies – including Broadcast Pix, Canon, JVC, Panasonic, and Sennheiser – to provide attendees with access to a variety of audio and video technologies.
Dennis Cummins, Senior Pastor at Experience Church.tv, said the first AVL Expo showed him the need for a conference and exhibition specifically designed for the church personnel and volunteers. “The impact that it had on the churches that attended was immeasurable, he said. “Churches immediately went back inspired to do greater things. AVL Expo gives us a chance to bring in all the vendors and equipment, as well as take churches through a complete over view of how audio, video, and lighting affect each other within the church design elements. This has really become a collaborative effort between ABS and Experience Church.tv, because we were able to combine their experience and technical prowess with our real world church application into a voice that speaks the worship community.
Courtesy of ABS, registration is free for the first two people registered from each church. Additional attendees will be permitted based on availability, but space is limited. For registration, hotel information, and full conference details, visit www.avlexpo.com.
