Gino Vannelli Performs at Las Vegas Hilton with V-Mixing System
Gino Vannelli recently performed to a vibrant crowd at the Las Vegas Hilton to debut his new CD release “A Good Thing. The RSS by Roland V-Mixing System serves as the monitor console for the seven piece band.
“We have very specific needs with click tracks, and sequencer tracks, and it is very important that musicians hear that correctly. This is musicians music, so the musicians really need to hear what they are doing, comments Nick Moon, Monitor Engineer and Tour Manager for Gino Vannelli. “The V-Mixer has allowed me to program the monitor mix in a studio environment with just two days of rehearsal. Once it is all programmed, when we go out on the road we can be up and running in less than forty minutes.
Gino Vannelli has upcoming tour dates October 17, 18 in Scenaca Niagra Casino and then heads for Holland for eight tour stops. The portability of the V-Mixing System has made travel and sound check much easier. Moon says, “The V-Mixer is quite compact and allows us to travel with it at under ninety pounds in our check-in luggage, it is very affordable to travel with.
The V-Mixing System’s exceptional sound quality is one of the first things that Gino Vannelli noticed about the V-Mixing System. He states, “I listened to the FOH sound over in Holland and I was very impressed. Bells and whistles are great, but in the end how does it sound? The kick, snare and vocals sound very good. I am very impressed with the board and that is why we are using it.
Moon is also equally impressed with the V-Mixing Sound quality and commented, “When I got the Roland I ran it through its paces using reverbs, EQ’s and the other effects, and it sounds great. It has a nice soft limiter and headroom for days. Moon says, “If anyone knows about sound quality, it is definitely Gino, especially from a mixing and mastering standpoint.
