NSCA and PSA Security Network® Bring Solutions to Members

Industry organizations partner on cost-saving benefits and leadership event

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA November 4, 2009 — The National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA) and PSA Security Network have announced a partnership involving NSCA’s Business & Leadership Conference and PSA-TEC. The endorsement package also includes NSCA’s SystemsPlus™ Insurance Solutions program which will allow PSA members to benefit from industry-specific health, stop loss, property & casualty, and surety insurance solutions.

The commercial electronic systems and security industries are becoming more aligned as technologies and applications converge to meet customer needs. According to NSCA’s 2009 Q3 Market Intelligence Briefing™ report, security and life safety applications and services are the fastest growing technology segment within the commercial electronic systems industry. This change in the past two years reflects a constantly growing and dynamic industry, even during challenging economic times.

The PSA endorsement of NSCA’s Business & Leadership Conference bridges two major sectors of the electronics systems industry and underscores the importance of uniting them during this conference. NSCA and PSA will bring together leading companies from technology sectors that will soon be working on the same network. Conference attendees will greatly benefit from the representation that this cross section of interests will provide.

The agreement also provides for NSCA’s relevant technical training to be delivered at PSA-TEC. NSCA will host technical courses essential for PSA members and security/life safety systems integrators. These courses will help them decipher the new code provisions and how those will affect their work.

Bill Bozeman, PSA president and CEO, said the partnership was a natural convergence of PSA member needs: security, IT, audio and video.

“Our members will have opportunities to discus real-world solutions in two different environments,? Bozeman said. “NSCA’s business conference is focused on networking and building a better business, and PSA-TEC is focused on providing the best training to integrators.?

Further, the participation of PSA members in the SystemsPlus programs will increase the number of lives insured, which enhances the opportunity for insured companies to earn credits toward future premiums. PSA members will now have access to the SystemsPlus insurance solutions that can help them stabilize healthcare costs, save thousands on property and casualty premiums, and simplify insurance benefits for their employees.

SystemsPlus Health Solutions is a self-funded, mutual insurance program designed to help commercial electronic systems companies combat rising health insurance premiums. The program offers innovative alternatives such as wellness initiatives and, most important, the ability to receive credits toward insurance premiums. Additionally, PSA members will benefit from SystemsPlus Casualty and Surety Solutions, as well as additional property, liability, life, accident, and disability insurance programs, which have saved NSCA members thousands of dollars each year.

“NSCA is pleased to partner with PSA on this important benefit,? said NSCA Executive Director, Chuck Wilson. “With the endorsement of PSA, both NSCA and PSA members will allow participants to obtain the benefits of large-group pricing in a time when saving money without sacrificing profits is essential.?

The NSCA Business & Leadership Conference will be held February 25-27, 2010, in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. For more information, visit www.nsca.org/blc. PSA-TEC will be held May 24-28, 2010 in Rosemont, IL. For more information, visit www.psasecurity.com.
