Audio Video Systems Announces Strategic Reorganization and Executive Level Promotions – Company Sets Strategy for its Continued Growth and the Future

Chantilly, VA – November 16, 2009 – Audio Video Systems, Inc. (AVS), a fast growing audiovisual (AV) design, engineering and systems integration firm, has announced a strategic reorganization of its corporate structure and leadership in an effort to create a strong platform for future growth, reflect better job functions throughout the company and focus on industry-leading customer service. AVS’ various departments will be realigned into three business units: Operations, Sales and Marketing, and Support.

The reorganization creates two new executive level positions that will be filled from within the company. These include:

• Michele Ferreira, presently Director of Business Development, has been appointed Vice President of Sales & Marketing, and will oversee the Sales, Marketing, Program and Business Development, and Vendor Relations Departments.

• Barry Goldin, presently Director of Integration, has been appointed Vice President of Operations and will oversee the Engineering, Integration, Project Management and Service Departments.

Both Ms. Ferreira and Mr. Goldin will report to Matt Komos, chief operating officer at AVS, who will also directly oversee all the support departments of the organization.

The reorganization of our executive team is a major step for the company that will better reflect the role of our key people in meeting the needs of our customers.?

One of the keys to its growth has been AVS’s partnership with the Pentagon Renovation (PENREN) program, where AVS has been responsible for design and integration of A/V systems for many of the Pentagon’s briefing and command and control facilities.

Despite the current recession, AVS has seen a boom in their workload and revenue, with 2008 being the biggest year in the company’s history, and 2009 projected to be even higher. The company has continued to increase their staff in anticipation of upcoming projects that will keep the company on its continued growth path. In 2010, AVS will be moving into its new corporate headquarters, in Chantilly, Virginia. The 72,000 square foot building, Barthelson Plaza, will be a LEED certified Green Building and will use the latest technologies available to minimize environmental impact and increase energy conservation.
