Mersive® SOL 2.0 features new color alignment solution for multiple projector and simulator installations

Lexington, KY (November 27, 2009) – The Mersive® SOL® 2.0 software release signals a major step forward in multi-projector auto-alignment technology, featuring a next generation approach to color alignment a wide variety of features that expands the capabilities of Mersive SOL.
Responding to customer requirements, Mersive addresses the market demand for cost-effective color and auto-alignment management systems by simplifying the way displays are designed, configured, and maintained. Mersive’s solutions calibrate and merge any number of projectors to create large seamless displays.

Moreover, Mersive’s new color technology is based on an innovative fault-tolerant color measurement system that automatically compensates for color changes even as projectors degrade or exhibit significant color and intensity differences. The system is also user-friendly and provides expert installers with tools to meet rigorous acceptance tests. With this new capability, complex displays are even easier to align and maintain, extending the life of the equipment and increasing display uptime.

Mersive continues to provide the leading geometric correction, alignment and edge-blending software with sub-pixel accuracy for displays of almost any size or resolution, including complex shapes such as domes and spheres. Current defense contractors, the US Military, and corporations acknowledge that Mersive solutions add value through ease of operation as well as through significant savings of cost and time.
Mersive SOL 2.0, which includes the new fault-tolerant color technology and support for collimated displays, dynamic eye point rendering, and full 3D stereo, will ship during the first quarter of 2010.
