PBS Affiliate KVIE-DT Sacramento Takes Delivery of Three Hitachi SK-HD1000 HD Cameras for Local TV Production
WOODBURY, New York, November 30, 2009 — Hitachi Kokusai Electric America, Ltd., a leading provider of affordable, high performance cameras, today announced that KVIE-DT, the PBS affiliate in Sacramento, CA, has equipped its main studio with three new Hitachi SK-HD1000 multi-standard, multi-format studio/field cameras.
The SK-HD1000 cameras, which are equipped with Canon HD studio lenses, will be used to produce several live local KVIE television programs. The purchase was partially funded by a Federal grant program.
A loyal, long-time customer of Hitachi, KVIE serves the Sacramento-Stockton-Modesto market, which ranks 20th in television markets nationwide and third in California. Known as PBS channel 6, KVIE broadcasts to over 1.3 million households in 28 counties.
