Boston Avenue United Methodist Church, located in downtown Tulsa, Ok., recently received an extensive upgrade to its sound system, courtesy of Oklahoma City-based AV-interiors. The church, one of Tulsa’s Art Deco jewels, was built in 1925 and designed by Frank Lloyd Wright protégé Bruce Goff. The building was included in the United States’ National Register of Historic Places in 1978. Because of its cultural and architectural significance, Boston Avenue church required an upgrade that wouldn’t compromise its renowned aesthetics. Joseph Lane Peavey, the Peavey Electronics Corporation founder and CEO’s grandfather, was very active in the Hamasa Shriners—his name is even engraved on the Moorish Revival theater’s cornerstone. Like Hartley, J.L. Peavey was an entrepreneur and an inventor with many patents to his credit. Hartley inherited his collection of hand tools when he passed in 1955, and two years later used those tools to build the first Peavey amplifier. more

Straubing – The “Stadttheater Am Hagen,� as the municipal theatre in Straubing is known, is an affiliate of the Landestheater Niederbayern (Lower Bavarian State Theatre). In 2003, the theatre was thoroughly renovated and now seats 330. To make it possible to stage lavish musicals and other musical productions in future, it was necessary to reequip the auditorium with new sound equipment. After an initial enquiry in Dec. 2008, TRE Professionelle Audiotechnik, which is based in Parkstetten, was entrusted with the installation.
