RTcom USA announces the Shipping of its Next Generation HDMI Matrix Router Solutions
SPARTA, N.J. ― Dec. 3, 2009 ― RTcom USA Inc., a provider of digital connectivity solutions for professional and consumer A/V systems, today announced that it’s enhanced HDMI Matrix router solutions have begun shipping. The new design changes both hardware and firmware by adding an extended display identification data (EDID) mode select function. The increased functionality of the HS-44M Plus, HS-66M Plus, and HS-88M Plus allows users to choose between DVI 1920×1200, HDMI 2-channel, and HDMI multichannel EDID to ensure compatibility with up to eight different displays. In addition, the new routers offer an auto EDID save function, and a status LED light on the output port.
The original design was introduced in 2005 as the first true HDMI routing matrix switchers in the market. With the HS-44M Plus, HS-66M Plus, and HS-88M Plus matrix routers, HDMI signals from popular A/V devices – such as A/V receivers, satellite set top boxes, and Blu-ray disc players – can be sent simultaneously to four, six, or eight different displays without any degradation in signal quality. With the new EDID mode select function, the enhanced routers will ensure compatibility with DVI displays, displays requiring 2-channel audio as well as multichannel displays. A status LED light on the output port indicates that the router is performing at maximum output levels.
