Leading audio and video communications integrator AVI-SPL today announced the promotion of Dale Bottcher to vice president of strategic accounts. In this role, Bottcher will specialize in the technology and energy services vertical markets.

Bottcher joined AVI-SPL legacy company SPL Integrated Solutions in 2003 as a senior sales engineer after holding the same position at a local AV integration company for six years. Prior to that, he worked at 3Com as a meeting coordinator and later as a facility manager, where he helped to create videoconferencing and meeting technology standards, and assisted with opening new remote offices for the company. In 2009, Bottcher was named sales manager for the AVI-SPL Chicago office, a position he held for less than a year before being promoted to vice president of strategic accounts.
