Dale Bottcher Named AVI-SPL Vice President, Strategic Accounts

Leading audio and video communications integrator AVI-SPL today announced the promotion of Dale Bottcher to vice president of strategic accounts. In this role, Bottcher will specialize in the technology and energy services vertical markets.

“I am so fortunate to work for a company that has a growing suite of solutions and services, unsurpassed capabilities and a global reach that is second to none, said Bottcher. “I’m excited to work with the strategic accounts team, serving in a role where I can continue to sell those business differentiators. I will look to expand business within our existing accounts, and to grow the list of targeted technology and energy services opportunities. I look forward to working in tandem with the sales executives throughout our company to accomplish these goals.

“We have experienced great success as our team has particularly focused on the needs of each individual vertical market, said Don Mastro, senior vice president of strategic accounts at AVI-SPL. “By adding Dale to our team, we will be better positioned to meet our initiatives. Heading into 2010, we are looking to solidify our presence in other areas, including the manufacturing, pharmaceutical and legal markets.

Bottcher joined AVI-SPL legacy company SPL Integrated Solutions in 2003 as a senior sales engineer after holding the same position at a local AV integration company for six years. Prior to that, he worked at 3Com as a meeting coordinator and later as a facility manager, where he helped to create videoconferencing and meeting technology standards, and assisted with opening new remote offices for the company. In 2009, Bottcher was named sales manager for the AVI-SPL Chicago office, a position he held for less than a year before being promoted to vice president of strategic accounts.
