Enhanced KVM Switcher from Gefen Gives Access to Four Computers using One High Resolution Display with Single or Dual Link DVI Connectivity
Internal EDID management, support for resolutions to 3840×2400 and plug and play application make this next generation switcher shine.
CHATSWORTH, CA – The leader in digital connectivity solutions today announced its next generation 4×1 KVM DVI DL Switcher. This new version supports the connection of one display using either single or dual link DVI, giving the user more flexibility while supporting resolutions up to 3840×2400.
Internal EDID management eliminates the need to reboot when switching between computers, and restores the original resolution settings and desktop icons for each computer. This provides a smooth transition throughout the switching with no additional tweaking.
“This new switcher replaces two previous versions, each handling either single or dual link DVI,” explained Hagai Gefen, president and CEO, Gefen Inc. “With this new version, users have more options with their display, and a streamlined switching approach that saves time and increases productivity in the studio or work environment.”
The 4×1 KVM DVI DL Switcher is cross-platform in capability, and provides a plug and play method of system integration without networking. It offers KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) control of four computers from one workstation, so users can quadruple the amount of data within reach at any given time. Users choose their computer using the IR remote, front panel selector or any RS-232 control device.
Two hi-speed USB 2.0 outputs support any keyboard/mouse combination, while the one DVI output supports either a single or dual link display. Stereo audio connections are also switched for each computer, routing audio in addition to video and control peripherals. Rack ears are included for mounting.
