It is with great sadness that we report the tragic passing of former colleagues, John and Susan Maloney. The Maloney family — John, Susan, and their children Aiden and Grace — lost their lives on the night of Saturday, November 28th in an automobile accident in Sonoma County. Karen Brinton, President of Remote Recording, and her audio recording team chose Fairlight’s Xynergi to record the 2009 Latin Grammys, which took place in Las Vegas in November at Mandalay Bay.

Peter Gary, Engineer in Charge, became interested in the Xynergi after he was introduced to the system by New York-based Dale Pro Audio, which is Fairight’s exclusive dealer for northeast USA.

Gary explains: “The flexibility of the Xynergi system is really incredible. We were able to record 128 channels along with HD/SDI video for hours on end with absolutely no issues. While in record, the system was also able to backup the previous sound check (all 128 tracks plus video) onto an external hard drive.
