Smart-AVI, Inc. Introduces HDMI-to-CAT6 Extension Solution, the HDX-400

Dynamic HDMI Signal Extension Solution Transmits 1080p Signals to Three Remote Displays and One Local Monitor up to 150 Feet Away via CAT6 STP

BURBANK, CA (January 6, 2010) – Smart-AVI, Inc., a world-leading innovator in the fields of digital signage content creation, management and delivery solutions through hardware and software, announces the release of a new HDMI signal extender that is capable of transmitting 1080p video and embedded audio 150 feet over CAT6 to up to three remote monitors and one local display for real-time monitoring.

Smart-AVI’s HDX-400 is a dynamic signal extension unit that utilizes inexpensive CAT6 STP cabling to transmit high-definition video signals with embedded sound to up to three remote monitors 150 feet away. This source signal can come from a gaming console, DVD or Blue-ray player or any other HDMI device that outputs high-resolution video. In addition, the HDX-400 also supports a local display for real-time monitoring. This allows an administrator to see what is being shown on the remote displays without having to leave an office or control room.

“The HDX-400 is a fantastic product in that it enables the extension of an HDMI 1080p signal by inexpensive CAT6 cabling to several monitors at once,? said Albert Cohen, president and CEO of Smart-AVI, Inc. “Local real-time monitoring is also possible with the HDX-400, which is a very handy feature that allows system administrators to see what’s being played over the remote screens at any given time without having to leave the control environment. This unit is perfect for broadcasting any high-definition HDMI signal – it can be from a PlayStation® or other gaming console; it can be a Blue-ray player. Whatever the need, it’s possible to extend the 1080p signal to three remote screens easily and inexpensively without having to worry about sacrificing quality for distance.?

Smart-AVI is internationally known for its aggressively-priced, high-quality audio/visual signal management solutions. The HDX-400 is one of the latest products in Smart-AVI’s steadily-growing line of 1080p signal extenders, switches and splitters used by system architects everywhere that have come to rely on the company’s innovative technologies and commitment to the highest standards in A/V solutions.
