SENSIO Announces Allowance of New Patent Application From the USPTO Relating to Quincunx Format Decoding
MONTREAL, Quebec — Jan. 21, 2010 — SENSIO Technologies Inc. (“SENSIO”) (TSX Venture Exchange Inc.: SIO) announced that it has received a notice of allowance for one of its pending patent applications by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (the “USPTO”). The patent application allowed covers a fundamental method for high-quality decoding of quincunx (checkerboard) compressed stereoscopic formats. The decoding method covered can be integrated into various products; namely chips, DVDs, and Blu-rays which are specifically described in the patent application and represent part of SENSIO’s core business.
