A virtual press conference from Sound & Video Contractor

SENCORE ISE 2010 Preview

SENCORE, an engineering leader in high-quality signal transmission, introduces to the EMEA market an array of products that deploy innovative and advanced technology to deliver the best possible video and sound quality. With a world-class line of audio and video products, professional calibration equipment, and high-end video processors, SENCORE provides electronic systems contractors with proven, turnkey solutions for even the most complex systems.

At ISE 2010, SENCORE displays its commitment to leveraging innovative engineering to benefit discerning viewers by debuting the Klein K-10 colorimeter as well as enhancements for three more of its highly regarded products. SENCORE also will be sponsoring a two-day, hands-on ISF (Imaging Science Foundation) calibration certification workshop for a limited number of participants. Finally, by way of introduction, SENCORE is offering visitors to its booth a chance to win one of three VIS-HDQ video processors. By enjoying a demonstration, visitors can double their odds!

New Products and Innovations From SENCORE at ISE 2010:

RadianceXE™ and RadianceXD™ Video Processors

Based on proprietary advanced digital processing, the SENCORE RadianceXE™ and RadianceXD™ video processors are flexible switching and distribution hubs for audiovisual systems that also assure delivery of top quality, distortion-free picture and sound. Radiance features receiving their international debut at ISE 2010 include picture-in-picture (PIP), which permits theater viewers to preview video programs and, at the press of a button, swap the inset picture for main video — with no annoying delay. More new features include self-configuring of output resolution and HDMI signal type during installation, eliminating the tedious task of determining the best setting for displays and for navigating setup menus, and a new point just above black in the multipoint three-dimensional grayscale/gamma calibration that improves color balance at the precise point where viewers are likely to see shift.

MP500 MediaPro Handheld Generator and HDMI Analyzer
The SENCORE MP500 MediaPro provides multiformat and multiresolution video/audio signal generation and HDMI analysis in an attractively priced, portable package with an easy-to-use, color touch-screen interface. One of the new features for 2010 is cable test, which makes it fast and easy to find formerly elusive problems in a complex HDMI system’s cables and devices. Cable test analyzes HDMI distribution signal paths for TMDS bit errors using a pseudo-random noise test signal, identifying a problem in seconds and potentially saving many hours of tedious cable-by-cable or device-by-device testing. More 2010 innovations include expansion of the MP500′s generator to accommodate multichannel HDMI audio systems; the addition of multiple unique static video patterns and a motion zone plate pattern for detecting video artifacts during video installations; and the flexibility to import custom test patterns (bitmaps) or an optional set of new ISF-approved test patterns.

ColorPro by CalMAN 4.0
At ISE 2010, SENCORE and partner SpectraCal inaugurate version 4.0 of its CEDIA award-winning ColorPro by CalMAN software, the unparalleled measurement and management tool for professional display calibration. One of the new features is grayscale/gamma calibration with absolute red, green, and blue luminance analysis that guides the user simultaneously to white balance and gamma targets. Also new for 2010 is luminance adjustment, which performs white-level analysis to optimize contrast for ambient light levels. Further advancements include support for LED backlight display analysis and integration with the latest Konica Minolta™ and Photo Research colorimeters. In addition, version 4.0 offers more intuitive and consistent measurement charts and new, more useful options to the measurement graphs in the customer-printed calibration report.

Klein K-10 Colorimeter
Debuting at ISE 2010 is the latest addition to the SENCORE line of measurement tools, the Klein K-10 colorimeter. Fast, accurate, sensitive, and sturdy, the Klein K-10 analyzes and measures light and color for optimized system calibration. With 5mm-by-5mm photodiodes and thermally stable components, SENCORE’s new meter beats competing models in both accuracy and stability. Exceptionally precise spectral filters along with a light-mixing chamber ensure that photodiodes register the same light no matter the probe’s circular orientation. And to accelerate the measurement process, the K-10 sensor takes 256 samples and amasses eight full meter updates every second — even at very low light levels. The Klein K-10 colorimeter is a companion product for SENCORE’s ColorPro by CalMAN software.
