Atlona’s AT-VGA88M-SR features eight individual VGA inputs with Stereo Audio, and eight individual Twister Pair CAT5/6 outputs to feed eight separate displays simultaneously. The Twisted Pair outputs are used to connect to the eight included receiver modules in order to send VGA signal long distances (up to 1000 ft) over cost effective CAT5/6 cable from the transmitter to the receiver units.
The Atlona 8×8 VGA Matrix can be controlled a number of ways including IR Back Channel, RS232, IR Remote, or LAN control. “Making LAN control a regular installment in all newer and upcoming Matrix Switchers and Pro AV products as a whole will be a huge break for many installersâ€? says Atlona Product Manager Michael Khain. Along with the advanced control ability with LAN Control, as well as RS232 function, Atlona’s 8X8 VGA Matrix Switcher’s IR functions allow users to access the desired sources such as computers, set-top-boxes, and satellite receivers directly, from the location of the displays such as HDTVs, LCDs, Plasma Monitors, and Video Projectors. With added metal handles in front for portability and positioning in rack mount installation applications, and support of discreet IR codes, installers will surely love this switcher.
Not only will the transmission distance of Twister Pair (CAT5/6) outputs reach resolutions up to 1920 x 1200, Along with being fully HDCP compliant, the AT-VGA88M-SR is embedded with state of the art Silicon Image Chipset.
