Compix Strengthens Support Capabilities, Appoints Nisie Teeter to Newly Created Director of Operations Role

IRVINE, Calif. — March 10, 2010 — Compix, a leading developer of professional-quality character generators (CGs), today announced the appointment of Nisie Teeter as the company’s director of operations. Within this newly created role at Compix, Teeter will ensure that Compix resources are effectively targeted to meet the needs of its customers and maintain excellent overall performance and efficiency.

“As an engineering professional with extensive experience in broadcast operations, Nisie joins Compix with a full understanding of both our organizational needs and the technical requirements of our customers,” said Veronica Kim, Compix president. “We anticipate that Nisie’s leadership will be a valuable asset to the company as we strengthen our business to ensure proactive service quality and provision of compelling solutions for a variety of verticals. We’re very pleased to welcome her to Compix.”

Teeter comes to Compix having most recently served as supervisor of engineering for American Public Media™ Los Angeles (APM LA), a role in which she also managed engineering departments for the Marketplace® and Weekend America® bureaus in New York City, Washington D.C., and Boston. During her tenure, she rebuilt audio-technical facilities on multiple sites, authored standard operating procedures across bureaus, and created documentation for future technical troubleshooting use. Teeter also collaborated with top executives, management, and producers at American Public Media to troubleshoot technical issues and strategically plan for branch operations and growth.

Prior to working at APM LA, Teeter was acting director of engineering and operations at KUSC Radio, a leading public broadcasting cluster of radio stations in Southern California, and had previously served as the station’s chief engineer and technical facilities administrator.

Teeter holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the Viterbi School of Engineering, University of Southern California. In addition, she also serves as the chairman on the board of directors for Alpha Omega Epsilon National Foundation, a foundation devoted to the promotion of women in the engineering and technical sciences field

“Compix is an exciting and rapidly growing company, and I look forward to ensuring ongoing operational efficiency and strong support services as the company continues to extend its presence across markets and verticals,” said Teeter. “Broadcasters and other media companies today face pressures from many sides, and I’m pleased to be supporting Compix in providing these clients with cost-effective, full-featured CG solutions, backed by top-notch support.”
