Indonesian Church Installs L-ACOUSTICS dV-DOSC

bethany_manyar.jpgSURABAYA, Indonesia — The Bethany Christian denomination church, which has many houses of worship across Indonesia, has installed an L-ACOUSTICS dV-DOSC system into the 4,000-capacity Bethany Manyar Church in East Java.

Located in an old building on Manyar Street in Surabaya, the church opted to ground-stack its new system, which consists of 12 dV-DOSC modular line source cabinets (six per side), four dV-SUB subwoofers (two per side) and four SB28 subwoofers (two per side) powered by five LA8 amplified controllers.

The installation also included a monitor system of two 115XT HiQ active stage monitors powered by an LA8 and a distributed system of four 12XT coaxials driven by an LA4.

The system was installed by L-ACOUSTICS’ Indonesian representative, Tri Tunggal Abadi, in just three days working closely with the church’s engineers. “The new LA8 and LA4 amplified controllers sound really good; the presets make everything easier and we can make any adjustments using the new contour EQ of the amplified controller,” says Andre Bonang from Tri Tunggal Abadi.

According to Bonang, the church’s head of music, Canessa Lawanto, decided to buy dV-DOSC just 20 seconds after hearing it, finding the sound to be very natural and suited to the church environment.

For the Bethany Manyar sound department, the installation of L-ACOUSTICS represents the fulfillment of a long-held dream since hearing it in Japan 12 years ago.

Tri Tunggal Abadi was appointed L-ACOUSTICS’ representative in Indonesia in 2008.

L-ACOUSTICS is a leading innovator and manufacturer of high-performance loudspeakers, amplifiers and signal processing devices for touring and installed sound markets.
