NuVo Technologies is Now Accepting Orders for Renovia™ Whole Home Audio System

Easy to install Powerline-based system features a full complement of components and accessories for a truly custom installation

Hebron, KY – April 01, 2010 – NuVo Technologies, the value leader in whole home audio, announced today they are accepting orders for the award-winning Renovia Whole Home Audio System. By employing Power Line Carrier (PLC) technology, Renovia’s unique product engineering gives custom installers and distributed audio dealers a powerful new way to access the huge and largely untapped retrofit/remodeling markets.

“The Renovia design team worked closely with a key group of customers that are both electronic system contractors and electricians. Their advice and guidance was pivotal in developing this flexible, affordable and easy system for the retrofit market,? said NuVo’s President and Chief Operating Officer, David Rodarte. “To help our dealers and installers promote this game-changing product, NuVo has created an extensive Renovia marketing program and Dealer Resource Center packed with selling tools,? he added.

About Renovia

Renovia uses standard HomePlug 1.0+ PLC technology to deliver high-fidelity audio and associated metadata over a home’s existing 110-volt electrical wiring. With the unique advantage of no home run wiring, installation is easy and minimally invasive with little to no wire pulling and drywall cutting. Most homes can be enjoying the luxury of a sophisticated audio system in just one day.

Renovia starts with the Main Source Hub, which delivers high-quality audio and metadata from up to six sources to up to eight different listening zones in the home. The Source Hub contains a built-in dual AM/FM/SIRIUS-Ready tuner, two dedicated inputs for the Renovia NuVoDock for iPod®, and can support a variety of legacy devices and NuVo’s own sophisticated source selections, including the versatile new Music Port. In each room the low profile, in-wall, 50-watt Zone Amplifier is paired with an AC connection for power and communication with the Source Hub. Operating Renovia is easy and intuitive with any of NuVo’s feature-rich control options. Fully customize the system to a homeowner’s needs by selecting from NuVo’s in-wall OLED display Control Pads (available in both single and dual gang sizes), the new Color Touch Pad or the completely portable Wireless Control Pad.

Renovia pricing and availability

Renovia’s pricing starts at $4,999 MSRP for a basic 4 zone packaged system, which includes a Source Hub, four zone amplifiers, four E6G OLED Control Pads and a NuVoDock. Additional components and accessories are available for expanding and customizing the Renovia system.

Renovia is scheduled to begin shipping on April 12, 2010.
