Veronica Kim Takes Compix Helm in New Role as President

IRVINE, Calif. — April 7, 2010 — Compix, a leading developer of professional-quality character generators (CGs), today announced that Veronica Kim, formerly the company’s vice president, has taken on the role of Compix president. She assumes this new leadership role in place of Thomas Kim, who now serves as the company’s chairman.

As Compix vice president, Veronica Kim has guided the company on a path of continuous and increasing growth. Under her leadership, Compix has rebranded and expanded its product portfolio with award-winning systems, strengthened its domestic and international presence through key hires in senior positions, and extended its global customer base.

Building on two central ideas — offering full broadcast quality solutions and providing affordable broadcast graphics — Kim led the company in its release of products such as the CynerG2 HD system, which earned a 2009 Broadcast Engineering Pick Hit Award. The company’s provision of highly flexible yet cost-effective CG technology to Jewish Life TV (JLTV) also was honored with a 2009 Broadcast Engineering Excellence Award.

During her 10 years with Compix, Kim also has helped to drive the company’s commitment to providing the best-possible solutions and customer service. In addition to investing heavily in product development and in engineering solutions for broadcasters, sports arenas, educational institutions, military and government, corporate multimedia, and houses of worship, among others, Compix offers the Compix Freedom Support Plan, which gives all of its customers free software and driver updates for life, as well as flexible support services and upgrade options.

“Our success is a product of our focus on giving our customers affordable yet elegant solutions that meet their business and operational needs,” said Kim. “I am incredibly proud of my Compix colleagues and the growth the company has realized through their professional approach and positive energy. As I take on this new role, I am excited about continued work with this team in building our worldwide presence and delivering quality broadcast graphics to Compix clients across different markets and verticals.”
