GEPCO INTERNATIONAL TO ROLLOUT COMPLETE LINE OF FIBER & COPPER INTERCONNECT SOLUTIONS AT NAB 2010

DES PLAINES, ILLINOIS, MARCH 30, 2010 — Gepco International (NAB Booth C5643), an industry leader in the manufacturing of professional audio and video cables, will roll out several new fiber products for its hybrid fiber distribution systems line-up, rounding out its full line at the NAB Show April 12-15, 2010. Gepco will also introduce its Gepco® Brand Enhanced Category 6 and 5e data communications cables, while featuring its V-CON multi-channel video connector system.

Engineered and manufactured to industry-leading standards, Gepco’s hybrid fiber distribution systems and cable assemblies, as well as comprehensive cable and connector options, provide complete fiber connectivity solutions for high-definition audio and video applications. The company’s extensive range of fiber distribution system products—including breakout racks, boxes, and panels, often featuring modular or expandable designs with multiple connection choices—can solve any cable connection or installation issue presented.

New to Gepco’s hybrid fiber distribution systems line are the following: HMD Hybrid Fiber Modular Distribution Racks; HMS Hybrid Fiber Fusion Splice Racks; HDR1 High-Density Distribution Racks; HSB Fusion Splice Boxes; HDB SMPTE Field & Studio Boxes; HMP8-Bxx SMPTE 304M Breakout Racks; and HMP8 Modular Hybrid Fiber & Triax Panels. Gepco’s distribution system products simplify and improve the cable installation process, while their modular and expandable designs allow for the greatest flexibility.

Gepco also offers a wide array of fiber optic cable assemblies including the Neutrik® OpticalCon®, Amphenol TAC-4 and TAC-12, LEMO® SMTPE 304M hybrid fiber camera cable assemblies, ST/SC/LC multi-mode or single-mode snakes, indoor permanent installation cable assemblies, and tactical and portable-use cable assemblies.

All of Gepco’s fiber cable assemblies are factory-terminated by Gepco and feature precision machine-polished contacts, which offer UPC quality to achieve –55dB typical return loss specifications. This process helps to attain excellent optical clarity and alignment, reducing back reflection and minimizing insertion loss. For further transmission assurance, all assemblies and distribution systems are 100% tested and verified for consistent performance and feature premium quality connectors and components.

“To meet the increased demand for fiber optic applications in the pro-audio, broadcast and commercial AV markets, we have expanded and enhanced our optical fiber product line,? said Gary Geppert, Vice President of Technology, Gepco Brand Products. “The combination of our cable products, distributed components and value-added services allows Gepco to function as a single-source supplier for fiber connectivity solutions to these markets.?

Gepco’s new branded line of Enhanced Category 6 and 5e data communications cables feature extended bandwidths and precision tolerances to meet or exceed the latest TIA/EIA and ISO standards. Designed to deliver reliability in leading-edge networking, data and video applications, every reel is ETL Listed and UL Verified to ensure consistent performance. Available in both plenum and riser constructions, Gepco Category 6 and 5e cable may be installed in a variety of applications and environments.

Finally, Gepco will be re-launching its V-CON line, the standard in multi-channel video, which is comprised of connectors, distribution racks, breakout boxes and cable assemblies. The V-CON connector system sets the bar for the interfacing of multiple video channels in a single connector format. Designed to withstand the harsh environments encountered in outdoor broadcast, mobile production and staging applications, the V-CON system combines both precision electrical performance and exceptional durability in a single design.
