Advanced Broadcast Solutions is working to expand the presence of Pebble Beach Systems automation and media management solutions, such as the enterprise-level Marina (pictured) in the United States.

SEATAC, WA, April 21, 2010 – Premier systems integration firm Advanced Broadcast Solutions (ABS) today announced it has entered a relationship with Pebble Beach Systems, a U.K.-based developer and supplier of automation and media management solutions. ABS is collaborating with the company on the West Coast to expand Pebble Beach Systems’ presence in the United States.

Founded in 2000, Pebble Beach Systems offers a comprehensive approach to automation, with solutions that go well beyond traditional device and playlist control. In addition to the core functions of capture, manage, and distribute, its systems provide the ability to visualize all resources in the workflow in real time. Its systems also provide the capability to dynamically allocate resources and seamlessly manage transactions between independent elements in the workflow. “We like to think of it as automation without borders,? explained Ted Dembicki, Vice President, North America, Pebble Beach Systems.

The company has successfully deployed its systems in facilities in the United States and around the world, including TV4, the largest commercial television operator in Sweden, and Arab Radio and Television. Pebble Beach Systems showcased Marina, its enterprise-level automation solution that was unveiled at IBC last year, as well as its other solutions at the 2010 NAB Show in Las Vegas, Nev., earlier this month.

“Pebble Beach Systems offers very compelling solutions for broadcasters, as well as cable and satellite operators,? said Mark Siegel, President of ABS. “They are really on the leading edge of automation and media management. We appreciate their integrated approach to technology, as well as their commitment to their customers. We look forward to expanding their business in the United States.?

“ABS fits the criteria of what we need in a partner,? Dembicki added. “Their excellent engineering and forward-thinking approach provide their clients with solutions that meet the challenges of today, with a keen focus on how to prepare for tomorrow. The ABS team has a terrific reputation, and we are pleased to be a part of that mix.?
