PESA’s new PRO 8X8 DVI Switcher

Huntsville, Alabama – April 26, 2010. Today, PESA announced the introduction of its new PESA PRO 8X8 DVI Switcher, further expanding its innovative product reach into the Professional AV markets. The PRO-8X8-DVI is a 1RU rack mountable frame assembly with 8 DVI-D input ports and 8 DVI-D output ports. This powerful and affordable digital matrix switcher is capable of selecting content from 8 separate video sources to any or all outputs. The PRO-8X8-DVI provides single-link, DVI-D operations up to 1920X1200@60Hz (WUXGA) resolutions as well as 480p to 1080p video formats.

The matrix can switch by way of a local push button selector, IR remote, USB local interface, or via an RS-232 connection for third party control systems. DVI signals can be switched using a software control menu allowing quick point-to-point mouse selections. The PRO 8X8 DVI software is an intuitive, easy to use GUI control system supplied with each switcher. It installs on a host PC running the Windows® operating system and communicates via RS-232 or USB.. The PRO 8X8 DVI has an EDID learning function that reduces the switching speed considerably while maintaining bi-directional communications between the switcher frame and connected devices.
