From Jimi Hendrix & Alicia Keys To Fito Paez, MTV & Hoffman La Roche
MIAMI: Since 1969, the Walters-Storyk Design Group (www.wsdg.com), has created over 3000 recording studios and professional audio production environments for clients, ranging from Jimi Hendrix, Alicia Keys, Green Day and Bruce Springsteen to international corporations, broadcasters, such as MTV (Argentina,) and PBS; Jazz At Lincoln Center and other performance venues; and studios for such Latin stars as Fito Paez (Argentina), Ivette Sangalo (Brazil) and Daddy Yankee (Puerto Rico). By joining forces with Maxicon, a 10-year-old Miami-based Audio/Video design and installation company, WSDG Miami establishes a unique ability to provide world-class architectural /acoustic design and audio video integration services to a diverse clientele.
âHaving created home theaters for Richard Gere, Clive Davis, Alec Baldwin, etc., we know these sophisticated rooms require far more than large flat screen monitors, Blu-ray, Surround sound and plush seating,â? comments WSDG co-principal John Storyk. âArchitectural and acoustical design must be precisely integrated and âfuture proofedâ? for new technologies. This is where our studio design experience can be most beneficial.â?
Coupling their expertise with the Maxicon team of specialists in high-end residential theatrical, corporate, educational and house of worship technical design and installation, effectively expands WSDGâs presence into the Florida and Caribbean markets.
Located at 19585 NE 10th Avenue, North Miami Beach, WSDG Miami âs multiplicity of services include innovative lighting design, full audio/video automation, systems integration and in-house turn-key installation and construction. The team is lead by Sergio Molho, director of international relations; AndrĂŠs Klein, director of technology, Samuel Naierman Director of engineering; and Ilan Weinstein, director of marketing and new business development.
The new firmâs showroom, incorporates multiple levels of audio-video and automation systems via the Living Entertainment Center (LEC), an elegantly ergonomic living room environment. The LEC represents a breakthrough example of integrating the home theater experience within a transparent, multi-format technical environment. A special 15-minute presentation controlled by AMX, Crestron and Universal remote systems illustrates the full spectrum of audio/video potential available to todayâs home theater enthusiast, while simultaneously demonstrating the companyâs extensive line of high end professional and residential audio/video products and integration solutions including Adam Audio Speakers and Sim2 HD video projectors. An ongoing program of seminars on acoustic design and integration is being developed for the areaâs architects and industry professionals. The firm also offers a 1 hour AIA-accredited course in acoustics.
âWSDG Miami represents an important moment in the evolution of our firm,â? comments co-principal Beth Walters. âThis merger marks the first time we have offered our professional services directly to consumers, and enables us to provide substantial in-house expertise, to the rapidly expanding Florida, Caribbean and Latin marketplace.
âOur long-time associates Sergio and Silvia Molho have established a brilliant track record for our Latin America Division headquartered in Buenos Aires. By pooling the skills of our Brazilian design team and Swiss technical team with our new Miami partners, we have created a full systems design/build service,â? Walters continues. âOur new partners Andres Klein, Samuel Naierman and Ilan Weinstein have vast experience in the residential industry. We are extremely proud to be associated with them and we are delighted to add this Miami location to our family of global offices.
