Dugan E-1 Offers Low-Cost Automatic Mixing with Legendary Dugan Performance
Las Vegas Nevada, InfoComm Booth N2070 — Dan Dugan, the inventor of the automatic microphone mixer and owner of Dan Dugan Sound Design, will demonstrate the company’s popular E-1 Automatic Mixing Controller at InfoComm. Visitors to the booth will be able to hear Dugan’s legendary automatic mixing technology, which detects which microphones are being used and makes fast, transparent cross-fades. This technology frees the operator to focus on balance and sound quality instead of having to pay constant attention to the faders.
The E-1 Automatic Mixing Controller is Dugan’s economy model. Rather than using a physical control panel such as that in the Model D- Series, the Model E-1 downloads a Java-driven remote control panel to the user’s web browser. The E-1 provides eight channels of signal processing and patches into the input insert points of an audio mixing console.
In addition to analog I/O, the E-1 has two pairs of ADAT connectors, one pair for digital I/O and one pair for linking. The E-1 can be linked with any combination of Models D-2, D-3, E and E-1 for up to 64 channels. A back panel switch changes the inputs from analog (TRS insert connectors) to digital (Lightpipe). Both analog and digital outputs are always active simultaneously.
Applications for the Model E-1 include events staging, conference sound reinforcement, houses of worship, video trucks, talk shows, reality shows, theaters, government chambers, distance learning, and teleconferencing.
“The E-1 represents an affordable way for audio professionals to utilize the benefits of Dugan mixing technologies, said Dan Dugan. “By incorporating the best possible automatic mixing into their event or show, operators can be assured of happy customers while making their own job easier.
The E-1 Automatic Mixing Controller sells for $3,199.00.
