NEW! Compix Packages at InfoComm 2010

NEW! Compix SchoolSmart™
The Compix SchoolSmart™ package is an affordable graphics add-on package that educational institutions can use to empower their students to gain valuable experience and establish skills in building high-quality broadcast graphics. Available for any Compix CG system, the package includes a 10-year unlimited offline GenCG software license for students, instructors, and faculty members; easy interfacing and connectivity with leading news automation and control systems such as EZ News or Comprompter; intuitive software tools for creation of high-impact titles and graphics; and a host of clip art images, fonts, professional templates, and stylish backgrounds. Animated graphics created with the included software can be imported into the CG or used for other video and Web projects.

NEW! Compix Spirit™
The Compix Spirit™ package provides houses of worship with a CG tool specifically designed to build high-quality broadcast graphics that will inspire congregants to understand and engage with the worship message. Available with the purchase of any Compix CG system, this add-on package features a 10-year unlimited offline GenCG software license that allows lead graphic designers and church volunteers to prepare graphics easily from their home computers. With anytime access to the software and their CG projects, staff and volunteers can complete work in the convenience of their own homes. Building graphics is easy, thanks to an integrated Bible search database with more than 100 pre-built templates and fun fonts, stylish backgrounds, and a high-impact animation creation suite.

NEW for InfoComm! QuickShot CG Solution for Production Environments
Built on the company’s powerful AutoCast software with integrated prebuilt templates and widely acclaimed graphic playback control and access hardware from DNF Controls, the QuickShot 1-RU remote button panel provides a cost-effective and elegant CG solution for fast-paced production environments. The QuickShot provides fast access to multiple graphics on a remote Compix system without requiring the user to log into a PC. With this very simple mechanism for putting timely updates on-screen immediately, news organizations can easily keep viewers up to date with the latest news, regardless of the time of day or number of staff at the facility. QuickShot templates can be customized for news, sports, weather, or other types of information, depending on the user’s needs. LCD keycaps featuring multiple colors and custom text labels help to ensure accurate graphics playout.

NEW for InfoComm! CompactCG HD
The company is also pleased to launch the latest addition to its CompactCG product line to InfoComm attendees. First previewed at the 2010 NAB Show in April, the new CompactCG HD offers both HD-SDI and SD-SDI functionality. CompactCG is a portable CG offering the specs and rich feature set of a full-size system in a rugged 1-RU chassis — priced with the attractive affordability the industry has come to expect from Compix. The CompactCG is ideal for channel-branding applications, with software options including NewsScroll with RSS, which provides the power of multiple crawls, logos, a real-time clock, live weather updates, ratings, and live RSS feeds, among other features.

NEW for InfoComm! GenCG 5.0
GenCG 5.0 is a newly enhanced version of the company’s powerful yet straightforward CG software. Already equipped with a sizeable array of features such as rolls and crawls, more than 250 transitional effects, and user-definable clocks and timers, GenCG 5.0 has been refined in response to customer feedback to provide even greater usability in cost-effective generation of quality broadcast graphics. The software was first previewed at the 2010 NAB Show in April.
