A virtual press conference from Sound & Video Contractor

DES PLAINES, ILLINOIS, MAY 27, 2010 — Gepco International (InfoComm Booth C6926), an industry leader in the manufacturing of professional audio and video cables, will present several distribution system solutions at InfoComm 2010 in Las Vegas June 9–11 including its HSB Fusion Splice Box, HMPF & HMP8 Modular Hybrid Fiber & Triax Panel Systems, Fiber Feedthrough Panels & Chassis and Custom Panels. Gepco will also feature its Heavy-Duty Tactical Cat 5e Cable & Assemblies and Gepco® Brand Enhanced Category 6 and 5e data communication cables, as well as its V-CON multi-channel video connector system.

Engineered and manufactured to industry-leading standards, Gepco’s distribution system products simplify and improve the cable installation process. The HSB Fusion Splice Box allows for the deployment of hybrid fiber in a compact chassis that is easy to install and terminate in the field, while the HMPF and HMP8 Modular Hybrid Fiber & Triax Panel Systems provide a completely configurable and electrically isolated mounting solution for hybrid fiber and triax connectors in a 2RU frame. Making the sharing of resources simple, Gepco’s Fiber Feedthrough Panels & Chassis offer a solution for bulkhead interfacing of general-purpose ST, SC or LC optical fiber formats.

When no pre-engineered solution is available, Gepco can design and manufacture almost any type of custom panel for commercial AV or residential applications. Gepco’s Custom Panels are built to user specifications in flat, flanged or chassis configurations with an extensive array of connector options and choice of materials, finishes and lettering. Panels can be ordered blank, preloaded with connectors or prewired/harnessed with cable.

“Gepco has the flexibility to meet the unique requirements of the pro-audio, broadcast and commercial AV markets,? said Gary Geppert, Vice President of Technology, Gepco Brand Products. “The combination of our cable products, distributed components and value-added services allows Gepco to function as a single-source supplier for complete interconnect solutions.?

Designed to meet the increased demand of audio/video professionals who need a rugged, reliable, portable and flexible cable solution, Gepco’s Heavy-Duty Tactical Cat 5e Cables and Assemblies feature a unique double-jacket construction to prevent degradation of electrical performance and bandwidth. The inner jacket of each Cat 5e element maintains the proper physical spacing between pairs to achieve ISO/IEC or TIA/EIA Cat 5e specifications, while the durable TPE outer jacket protects the cable from physical damage or abuse. Available in three types including the CT504HD with stranded conductors for flexibility, the CT504HDX with solid conductors for low loss and the CTS4504HDX four-channel snake for applications that require multiple or redundant channels of Cat 5e, the series can be terminated with either standard Cat 5 RJ45 connectors or the ruggedized Neutrik® etherCON® connectors.

Gepco’s new branded line of Enhanced Category 6 and 5e data communications cables feature extended bandwidths and precision tolerances to meet or exceed the latest ISO/IEC and TIA/EIA standards. Designed to deliver reliability in leading-edge networking, data and video applications, every reel is ETL Listed and UL Verified to ensure consistent performance. Available in both plenum and riser constructions, Gepco Category 6 and 5e cable may be installed in a variety of applications and environments.

Finally, Gepco will be re-launching its V-CON line, the standard in multi-channel video, which is comprised of connectors, distribution racks, breakout boxes and cable assemblies. The V-CON connector system sets the bar for the interfacing of multiple video channels in a single connector format. Designed to withstand the harsh environments encountered in outdoor broadcast, mobile production and staging applications, the V-CON system combines both precision electrical performance and exceptional durability in a single design.
