Mitsubishi reworks, revamps and relaunches HC3800 home theater projector

Professional-Grade Warranty Exchange Policy Added

IRVINE, Calif., June 1, 2010 — Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America’s Presentation Products Division, known for high-quality presentation and display products, recently refreshed its award-winning HC3800 entry-level high-definition projector and announced a new warranty policy that guarantees peace of mind and confidence for this model that is sold largely through the internet.

The robust limited warranty offers a 30-day overnight* product replacement with a brand new projector for any defects found. Additionally, for the first time ever, Mitsubishi is offering its Express Replacement Assistance (ERA) Program on its HC3800 home theater projectors, a comprehensive nationwide service previously reserved for its high-end business projectors. The ERA offers next available business-day replacement (where available) for non-working units that are under warranty.

“Mitsubishi is so confident in the quality of our renewed HC3800 projectors, that we’ve developed this new warranty program that we believe is unprecedented in our industry,? said James Chan, senior director, product marketing, Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America’s Presentation Products Division. “If anyone has a technical problem within the first 30 days of purchase, we’ll replace it with a brand new unit.?

Designed for budget-minded do-it-yourself video enthusiasts as well as home-theater newbies, the HC3800 delivers spectacular 1080p resolution for a true high-definition viewing experience.

Mitsubishi’s HC3800 projector uses Texas Instruments’ latest 1080p DLP® chip, the DDP3021 Digital Light Processing® TrueVision™ Image processing with BrilliantColor™. It blasts 1300 lumens and provides up to 4000:1 contrast ratio in full ON, full OFF mode (650:1 ANSI) for truly high detail and remarkable color depth for maximum video display impact. Combining BrilliantColor processing technology using a patented color-processing algorithm and Mitsubishi’s new super-sharp, high-quality Diamond® lenses, the HC3800 gives viewers rich, vivid realistic images.

The estimated price of Mitsubishi’s HC3800 is currently $1,495 available through popular online resellers and authorized Mitsubishi dealers. Along with the new 30-day return policy and one-year ERA replacement coverage, Mitsubishi is also offering the HC3800 with a rebate promotion for a free lamp ($395 value) with purchase while supplies last. The new HC3800 warranty and its lamp promotion are for customers with a U.S. shipping and billing address only.
