Rich Frembes and Linda Seid Frembes, a husband and wife team who works in the AV industry, has announced the creation of a fund raising effort to benefit oil spill disaster relief efforts of the Gulf Restoration Network (GRN) called “Change for the Gulf� that will launch at the InfoComm show on June 9, 2010. Founded in 1995, GRN is the only non-profit exclusively focused on the health of the Gulf of Mexico.

Participation in the fund raising effort is simple: InfoComm attendees are asked to donate their spare change into collection jars located on the show floor.

“What began as a simple idea and an open letter to the industry has resulted in an outpouring of support and donations,� said Seid Frembes, who posted the open letter on her web site. “The AV industry is a smart and caring group of people. I am proud to be a part of a group so willing to help others.�

To date, four AV manufacturers are hosting collection jars and nearly $1,000 pledged for matching funds. InfoComm attendees can find change collection points at the following exhibitor booths:
