BUENA PARK, Calif.⎯In response to requests for Macintosh support by its Mac user customer base, Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. will officially announce the availability of Mac-compatible versions of M7CLv3 Editor and LS9 Editor for Yamaha M7CL and LS9 digital sound reinforcement consoles at InfoComm 2010 in Las Vegas, booth #C6748.

The Network-MIDI Driver feature has been redesigned specifically to allow M7CLv3 and LS9 consoles to talk directly to Mac computers. The Network-MIDI Driver assumes the role of the DME-N Network Driver used on Windows platforms. Like the Windows version, M7CLv3 Editor and LS9 Editor for Mac run under the Studio Manager V2 host, providing the same features and operating environment as the Windows version.

“Both the M7CL and LS9 series represent highly evolved live sound mixing systems for a wide range of applications,? states Kevin Kimmel, Mixer Product Manager. “M7CLv3 Editor and LS9 Editor for Mac will take these consoles to the next level for live sound engineers using Mac-based systems as part of their mix environment.?

The new M7CLv3 features and Mac-compatible software incorporate significant upgrades to give both existing and new users a thoroughly up-to-date, efficient working environment. For M7CL, advanced features such as Sends on Fader operation via the M7CLv3 Editor will now be available via the Mac platform.

The new software will be available via download in August.
