BRICK HOUSE VIDEO ANNOUNCES PLANS TO LAUNCH WIRELESS ON-AIR INDICATOR FOR VISION SWITCHERS AT IBC 2010
OTHER HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE NEW AFFORDABLE SERVER CONTROL AND LIVE VISION SWITCHING PACKAGE, AND UPGRADED FEATURE-RICH CONVERTERS
Owslebury, UK (19 July 2010) — Brick House Video has announced plans to introduce TallyHo at IBC 2010 – a wireless on-air indicator for vision switchers. The manufacturer of award-winning compact and cost-effective analogue and digital switchers, and rate/standards and format convertors, will also highlight ShowTime – a new and affordable server control and live vision switching package.
NEW TallyHo!
Brick House Video will debut its latest product TallyHo, a wireless tally indicator system for use with a wide range of mobile production systems. TallyHo offers camera operators remote on-air indication in the field, and is designed to work with industry-standard vision switchers and production desks.
The system comprises a central control station and charging unit, and eight hot-shoe receiver modules. The receivers offer visual indication to the camera subject when live, and a preview feature to advise the camera operator of the upcoming transition to air.
First Demonstrations in Europe ShowTime
ShowTime, the new cost-effective package combining dynamic server control and live vision switching, is making its official European debut at IBC 2010. Based on proven technology from two leading broadcast hardware manufacturers, ShowTime brings the seamless integration of live sources and action replay within the grasp of the most demanding budgets. The ShowTime package comprises Hi Tech’s industry standard server controllers, Brick House Video’s award-winning digital vision switchers, and proprietary software.
ShowTime will work with any video server that responds to existing industry protocols. A wide range of control panels is available to suit a multitude of applications. In operation, both mixer and server are directly controlled by the Hi Tech panel. The vision switcher performance is full broadcast specification with live asynchronous inputs, and a wide range of auxiliary monitoring and other features is included as standard. Simple and intuitive to use with a set-up time measured in minutes, and easily transported between locations, ShowTime is a true fly-away kit.
NEW Features Syntax Up/Cross-Converter
Enhancements to this broadcast specification, attractively priced SDI up/cross/down-converter include analogue video inputs and 3G capability. Based on advanced Super-Resolution Bandlet Technology, Syntax brings the performance advantages of motion-compensated processing without the associated disadvantages of high cost and occasionally severe artefacts. Syntax incorporates comprehensive audio facilities and offers up-conversion and cross-conversion with noise reduction and ARC facilities.
Syntax is now shipping with an on-board web server and Ethernet port for remote control.
NEW Features Proteus Multi-Format/Multi-Purpose Converter
The award-winning Proteus multi-format, multi-purpose, motion-adaptive standards converter will be shown in both rack-mount and portable versions. The fully-featured broadcast specification converter features 10-bit SDI, analogue video and audio I/O, an advanced standards conversion algorithm, comprehensive audio facilities and ARC. Based on an advanced Motion Adaptive Standards Converter, Proteus offers full format conversion, frame synchronizing, TBC, video and audio Proc Amps, as well as bi-directional standards (rate) conversion. Proteus addresses lip-sync errors with an optional audio delay (up to 10 seconds) featuring both tracking and block delay.
