Utah Governor Gary Herbert Issues AV Week Proclamation
(August 4, 2010) Bluffdale, Utah, USA — Underscoring the contribution of the audio-visual industry on everyday lives, Utah Governor Gary Herbert, today joined with Utah-based Listen Technologies Corporation and other industry groups including InfoComm, to officially declare of October 17 – 23, 2010 as AV Week.

Listen is organizing a series of special events to take place over the course of AV Week including a fundraising event for the Walk4Hearing, a tour of a theater that offers assistive listening and audio description to its patrons, and an educational presentation at a local area school. Ms. Schaeffer is hoping to collaborate with other industry colleagues to broaden the activities of AV Week in Utah. “This is an important opportunity for us to come together and promote the AV industry,� she said. “I encourage my industry associates to join me in creating events for the community.�
