Lencore Releases Unprecedented Volume Control Capabilities with the Spectra i.Net® System IVC/RIVC Speakers

(WOODBURY, NY) - Lencore Acoustics Corp., a manufacturer of commercial sound masking systems introduces two new speakers to its vast array of acoustic and technology products. The speaker acronyms, IVC & RIVC stand for Individual Volume Control and Remote Individual Volume Control and enable unprecedented volume control capabilities for the Spectra i.Net® System.

The Spectra i.Net® IVC and RIVC speakers provides an additional 12dB of attenuation at the speaker level for greater volume control. This adjustment is made outside of the network interface and can provide immediate manual, field adjustments to the volume level of the masking and paging. These adjustments are in addition to a network volume control accessible through an intuitive user interface.

The IVC and RIVC speakers are completely compatible with the Spectra i.Net® System’s standard speakers and can easily be added to any for seamless integration.

The control features of the IVC and RIVC enable the system and volume levels to be truly customized to meet the client’s needs and maximize privacy and comfort. “The Spectra i.Net® System comes standard with tremendous network tuning capabilities. However, we wanted to provide this additional level of volume control for clients who needed additional, in-field, manual volume adjustment capabilities,? states Jonathan Leonard, Vice President of Lencore.

In corporate environments, the product enables immediate, real time adjustments for changing sound masking levels in conference rooms or other areas where individualized volume control of a single speaker is required. The IVC and RIVC Speakers are an added feature and benefit to the already robust offering the Spectra i.Net® Networked Systems provides Fortune 500 companies worldwide.

In healthcare applications, sound masking has been touted as a “go to? product for providing patients with individual and personalized acoustic control and comfort. Studies show that better acoustics in healthcare may result in improved patient satisfaction and this is good news to hospitals. A typical application for this product might be in patient rooms where it can enable patients to control the sound masking’s acoustical levels, giving patients the chance to positively contribute to their own healing process. The controls can also be located near or outside nursing stations so that sound masking levels can be modified as needed by nurses and doctors.
