Aviom’s Pro64® audio networking gear provided the audio connectivity for the live production of “BUDDY- The Buddy Holly Musical,” which ran for a limited time at Colosseum Theatre in Essen, Germany. The production, which told the life story of rock and roll legend Buddy Holly, utilized a revolving stage, designed to look like a record player, for the band and singers. The unique design of the turntable-inspired stage complicated the audio system design by requiring that all audio signals be fed through the center of the stage via a single Cat-5 cable. The Aviom Pro64 network not only solved the cabling problem, but also simplified the design and provided the versatility and professional-grade audio quality required for the show. more

Grayson County College’s Art and Communications Center in Denison, Texas has purchased 10 Prism Projection RevEAL Color Wash (RevEAL CW) fixtures for the newly-renovated, 1,000-seat Cruce Stark Auditorium and the new, more intimate 50×50-foot Black Box Theater. The latter space features a fully-flexible seating system by Staging Concepts that can accommodate up to 150 people depending on the configuration. The Cruce Stark Auditorium and Black Box Theater are used as classrooms and for theater and music performances; they are also available for community events and outside rentals. more
