Mitsubishi Selects Portable eBeam Solutions from Luidia Bringing Interactivity to Education and Business Customers

SAN CARLOS, Calif., and IRVINE, Calif. —September 14, 2010 — Luidia, Inc., the award-winning developer of eBeam portable interactive whiteboards and display solutions, and Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America, Inc., known for award-winning, high-quality, high-definition presentation and display products, today announced a partnership through which Mitsubishi will sell eBeam Edge products and Mitsubishi projectors as bundled packages.

The partnership will bring integrated interactive solutions to education and business users that want to upgrade traditional meeting rooms and classrooms into interactive workspaces. The combination of a Mitsubishi projector and eBeam Edge products provide users an interactive platform to create, save and share meeting notes, dynamic lessons, diagrams and more. Weighing less than four ounces, the eBeam Edge™ transforms walls, traditional whiteboards and flat surfaces into interactive workspaces, eliminating the need to replace these surfaces with new and costly dedicated interactive ones.

Mitsubishi offers a wide range of DLP® and LCD projectors including pico ultra portable, high definition and short throw projectors. The eBeam Edge works with any standard computer or notebook and projector, making this an ideal partnership that delivers interactivity for all users.

“We researched many interactive whiteboard solutions to bundle with our projectors and selected eBeam Edge because of its ease of use and affordability,” said James Chan, senior director, product marketing, Mitsubishi Presentations Products Division. “Luidia’s eBeam products are ultra-portable and allow users to refashion existing flat surfaces. Through this partnership, we offer comprehensive interactive projector solutions that transform classrooms and meeting rooms from traditional to high tech in a matter of minutes.?

“Greater numbers of consumers are embracing interactive whiteboard solutions that make teaching and presentations more effective and engaging,? said Luidia Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Business Development, Roy Erez. “Combining eBeam technology with Mitsubishi’s line of projectors will provide consumers with an interactive solution at a terrific price performance value.?
