C-nario Messenger Platform Selected by IGPDecaux to Drive Digital Signage Networks at Milan’s Airports and Main Subway Stations

Tel Aviv, Israel – September 21, 2010. C-nario, a global provider of digital signage software solutions, today announced that C-nario Messenger digital signage platform, the company’s flagship product, has been implemented as the management software of digital signage networks at Milan’s Malpensa and Linate Airports, as well as in the city subway stations.

The digital signage network at Malpensa Airport was implemented at Terminals 1 and 2 which have recently become operational. The new network comprises 40 multimedia LCD totems of 57? (90cm x 215cm). At Linate Airport, the digital signage network is based on 41 vertical LCD totem screens in the same size. The displays in Milan’s main subway stations include 67 LCD totems (57?) which are currently being installed.

IGPDecaux, Italy’s leading outdoor advertising company, initiated the digital signage networks and operates the displays. The LCD totems were manufactured by Hantarex. IGPDecaux selected C-nario’s platform following a massive evaluation process, which included reviewing solutions from several digital signage companies.

The totems display various ads from leading organizations, including banks, government ministries, famous fashion brands and others. All ads are displayed in the highest pixel resolution.

Dooh.it, a Turin, Italy-based company specializing in designing and installing digital signage networks and in managing their content, has coordinated the entire installation.

“The projects at Milan’s airports and subway strengthen C-nario’s leading position in the transportation industry,? said Yael Elstein, C-nario’s VP marketing. “Malpensa and Linate join leading airports where our solutions have been implemented, including 12 major airports in the US, such as JFK, Los Angeles and Dallas, Shanghai airports in China, and more.?

The Hantarex single- and double-faced vertical totem screens have been developed individually and ad hoc, each one with different characteristics to respond to the specific needs of the placement, and to optimize the screens’ visibility.
