Customized solution blends Cisco/TANDBERG codec technology and infrastructure solutions to meet unique Telepresence requirements
AVI-SPL, a leading provider of audio video communications solutions, today announced the availability of Caméléon Telepresence with embedded Cisco/TANDBERG technology. Caméléon is a first-of-its-kind multifunction Telepresence solution designed by AVI-SPL to adapt to a customer’s environment while providing the highest quality meeting experience. The latest version of the Caméléon Telepresence solution leverages Cisco/TANDBERG C-series video codecs and their full line of infrastructure solutions.

The Cisco/TANDBERG-equipped Caméléon is specifically designed to address customer requirements that fall below the T3 capabilities, but call for the Cisco/TANDBERG end-to-end experience. The Caméléon solution provides: an immersive Telepresence experience; a high-quality HD videoconferencing solution; crisp, cutting-edge audio conferencing; and local multimedia presentation display ability in one easy-to-use system. Caméléon’s intuitive graphical user interface allows even first-time users to easily host a Telepresence, video / audio meeting, or local presentation with just a few touches.

Caméléon can easily be customized to fit to most existing environments. Caméléon is a customer-driven solution, as it is designed to be adaptable to a variety of requirements, including adding a second participant row; automated room control for lighting, shades and climate; additional presentation sources such as DVD players and document cameras; and different color finishes to match existing office decor.
