Compix Products at WFX Atlanta:

Compix Spirit(TM)
The Compix Spirit(TM) package provides houses of worship with a character generator (CG) tool specifically designed to build high-quality broadcast graphics that will inspire congregants to understand and engage with the worship message. Available with the purchase of any Compix CG system, this add-on package features a 10-year unlimited offline GenCG software license that allows lead graphic designers and church volunteers to prepare graphics easily from their home computers. With anytime access to the software and their CG projects, staff and volunteers can complete work in the convenience of their own homes. Building graphics is easy, thanks to an integrated Bible search database with more than 100 pre-built templates and fun fonts, stylish backgrounds, and a high-impact animation creation suite.

CompactCG HD
Compix is pleased to introduce the latest addition to its CompactCG product line to WFX Atlanta attendees. First previewed at the 2010 NAB Show in April, the new CompactCG HD offers both HD-SDI and SD-SDI functionality. The award-winning CompactCG is a portable character generator (CG) that offers the specs and rich feature set of a full-size system in a rugged 1-RU chassis — priced with the attractive affordability the industry has come to expect from Compix. The CompactCG is ideal for channel-branding applications, with software options including NewsScroll with RSS, which provides the power of multiple crawls, logos, a real-time clock, live weather updates, ratings, and live RSS feeds, among other features.

The CompactCG is both easy to install and easy to use, providing automated template-based graphics generation and real-time graphics overlay of live video in analog, SD-SDI, or HD-SDI productions. Like all other Compix CG solutions, the CompactCG supports Windows(R) IMEs (Input Method Editors) multiple language settings, and TrueType(R) fonts, enabling true multilingual support and unlimited font styles.

NewsScroll 4.0
NewsScroll 4.0 software allows users to enhance live worship video with multiple crawls, logos, and more — all with just a single channel. New tools for creating graphics such as personalized lower-thirds, make it easy for houses of worship to use the on-screen space to connect with and involve members of the congregation in worship.

The newest release of the Compix NewsScroll software package enables simultaneous display of two independent crawls, which can be updated manually or automatically from RSS feeds. Once a refresh rate is set, NewsScroll automatically updates and loads all information for display. The software also features two static or animated logos; a real-time, customizable clock; an interchangeable logo for different holidays or service themes; and an instant text-update field for last-minute additions.

NewsScroll 4.0 boasts a new Cut Mode that allows users to insert full- or partial-screen graphics behind other crawls, logos, and text elements, all on a single channel. Adding further convenience to the software, new GPI (General Purpose Interface) and auto-start functions enhance automated and semi-automated playback functions, and a new Visual Mode makes updating and editing crawls even simpler.
