TAMPA, Fla. Oct. 29, 2010 – AVI-SPL, a leading provider of audio video communications solutions, is pleased to welcome Jessica Abrante and Lee Townsend to the sales team.

Jessica Abrante recently joined AVI-SPL’s Orlando office as a Sales Engineer where she’ll concentrate on the corporate and higher education markets. Originally from Venezuela, she brings three years of AV industry experience as an Account Executive for Xerox Audiovisual Solutions. Additionally, Abrante is CTS certified in addition to having a B.A. in Broadcasting and a M.A. in Electronic Media Management from Central Michigan University.

AVI-SPL’s Washington, DC office welcomes new Sales Bid Estimator Lee Townsend to the company. In this role, Townsend provides estimates for design/build and bid opportunities, as well as sales engineering support for the staff at the Lanham, MD office. Prior to joining AVI-SPL, Townsend worked as a Senior Design Engineer and Integration Programmer for AE Systems in southern Virginia.

Additionally, he’s trained and certified in Crestron and AMX integration programming and holds advanced certification from Biamp digital signal processing system design and integration.
