A virtual press conference from Sound & Video Contractor

VidaBox LLC ISE 2011: Stand 9F138

VidaBox at ISE 2011:
At ISE 2011, VidaBox will be showcasing products across its entire line of integrator-friendly media solutions. The company will feature Blu-ray and DVD media centers, servers, and extender products, all of which combine into a complete, seamless A/V distribution ecosystem. Highlights at the show will include the LiivController(TM) with vAutomation 2.0(TM), which turns any iPad(R) into the ultimate touchscreen control interface; sleek and stylish iPad on-wall mounts featuring unique iPower(TM) charging stations; and the latest additions to the VidaBox family of Blu-ray and DVD media extenders, including the compact RoomClientV2(TM) and ThinClientV2(TM).

New VidaBox Products on Display at ISE 2011:

LiivController(TM) With vAutomation 2.0(TM): Total Control From Any iPad(R)
The seamless A/V control and media browsing experience users crave is just a finger tap away with VidaBox’s new vAutomation 2.0(TM) control platform. Making its ISE 2011 debut, vAutomation 2.0 is powered by LiivController(TM), which is available as an entry-level tabletop control box or comes in a 2U rack-mount system configuration. Any iPad(R) can access the LiivController units running vAutomation 2.0 via Wi-Fi, turning the system into the ultimate touchscreen interface for control over any and all components — from cable boxes to TVs to receivers — all via IR, TCP/IP, and RS-232 commands sent from LiivController. The powerful vAutomation 2.0 interface can be used to control any VidaBox media center, giving users complete access to Blu-rays, DVDs, Netflix, and more, and allowing them to browse through their media in the cover-flow style that is familiar to Apple(R) users. The rack-mount version also allows the iPad to control up to eight zones of synchronized multiroom audio — with eight independent internal audio streams for each zone output — without the need for additional matrix switchers. For integrators, providing their clients with this exceptional experience couldn’t be easier. The touchscreen interfaces on the vAutomation 2.0 platform are based on predefined templates and require minimal programming, dramatically reducing the time needed to complete new projects.

RoomClientV2(TM) Blu-ray and DVD Media Extender
At ISE 2011, VidaBox will introduce the latest addition to its family of Blu-ray and DVD media extenders: the RoomClientV2(TM). Offered at a fraction of the size and cost of the company’s larger extenders, the RoomClientV2 packs a powerful punch in a sleek 38-mm profile. Sporting a slot-loading disc drive, the extender streams Blu-ray, DVD, music, or photos stored on any VidaBox server over a single CAT 5e/6 connection. Users will enjoy browsing and playing movies or music by cover art; access to online content from Netflix, XM radio, Napster, and other streaming sites; plus photo slideshows; and more — all on a single, intuitive on-screen interface. An HDMI 1.2 output allows users to experience this content in full 1080p HD and 5.1 surround sound, while a VESA bracket is included for easy, discreet mounting behind any HDTV. For noise-sensitive environments such as bedrooms, the RoomClientV2 offers near-silent operation at less than 28 dBA.

ThinClientV2(TM) Blu-ray and DVD Media Extender
VidaBox will showcase the next generation of its popular ThinClientHD(TM) Blu-ray and DVD media extender: the low-cost ThinClientV2(TM). Preserving the miniature form factor that made the original so popular, the ThinClientV2 has been bolstered with significantly enhanced Blu-ray playback performance. Users will enjoy the same on-screen interface and familiar features such as Blu-ray, DVD, and CD sorting by cover or album art, Netflix and IP content streams, one-touch picture slideshows, and much more. With its ultra-compact size and thin 38-mm profile, installers can discreetly mount the ThinClientV2 with an included VESA mounting bracket in virtually any location for 1080p HD AV content streaming. Ideal for noise-sensitive environments, the ThinClientV2 offers near-silent operation of less than 25 dBA.
