Sentina® Expands Line of uSign Super LED Retail Displays with Three New Models Offering Greater Flexibility and Customization

Leading manufacturer and marketer of consumer and professional LED lighting solutions also announces plans to launch a professional online custom printing production service.

Sentina calls uSign Series the “low cost, on-demand advertising and marketing solution for every type of customer-facing business.?

KENILWORTH, NEW JERSEY, December 7, 2010 — Underscoring its commitment to provide consumer electronic and photo imaging retailers with a better, more creative and cost effective way to communicate special offers and marketing messages to their customers, Sentina®, the industry leading manufacturer and marketer of business and consumer LED lighting solutions, has today announced the expanded line of uSign retail lighting displays.

The line expansion includes three new models — two large format floor standing units and one tower display— all designed to provide customers with greater customization and flexibility. At the same time, Sentina President Mei Noguchi said that the company has launched an online, full service production center, called uSignStore.com.

“Since its debut last year, the Sentina uSign has proven to be an extremely creative and cost-effective advertising and marketing solution for budget-conscious customer-facing business owners, as well as trade show exhibit managers, houses of worship, and another type of business that is challenged to find a way to cost-effectively update their consumer messaging on a regular basis. We believe the uSign Series has ushered in the era of low-cost, on-demand high quality instant messaging, advertising, and marketing.?

According to Noguchi, the success of the original 8.5? X 11? sized back-lit Super LED USign displays, which can be easily connected and stacked in a variety of configurations and anchored into a single plug, led to customers asking for the solution to be made available in a greater variety of formats. As a result of this request, Sentina is expanding the line to include an A1 and A2 sized display that comes packaged with an attractive, lightweight floor-standing frame. “The customer simply attaches the display into the frame, inserts the consumer messaging, snaps the frame closed, and plugs the display into a standard power outlet.?

The new Sentina uSign LB-A1X2-ST is an A1 sized Double Sided LED Backlit Panel with Stand. It measures 24.5? X 34? (624 X 871 mm), consumes just 13.5W of power, generates brightness of 1100 Lux (100 Lumens) and weighs just 22 pounds (10kg). The unit is available for immediate delivery for $350.

The new Sentina uSign LB-A2X2-ST is an A2 sized Double Sided LED Backlit Panel with Stand. It measures 17.5″ x 24.5″ (450 x 624 mm), consumes just 9.6W of power, generates brightness of 1200 Lux (110 Lumens), and weighs just 17.6 pounds (8kg). This unit is available for immediate delivery for just $250.

The new Sentina uSign Tower is available for $1280 and features sixteen 8.5? X 11? back-lit Super LED displays along with a cord management system that neatly conceals each of the display’s power cords and integrates all of them into one power strip that plugs into any standard wall outlet.

The newly expanded Sentina uSign LED Display Series is the next-generation LED signage solution designed to put every business in an energy saving light that will simultaneously stop customers in their tracks – and allow businesses to communicate their message, product offering, sales special, or menu of the day.

Designed to replace fluorescent-based signage, Sentina uSign displays advance the state-of-the-art in energy-efficient LED lighting a significant ways. The displays themselves incorporate an enhanced Super LED lighting design that features customized Super LED lights that are 20% brighter than conventional LED lights. These Super LED lights are then embedded behind a proprietary Shoji screen based Optical Reflection Panel that produces an ultra-bright, evenly dispersed edge-to-edge light that virtually eliminates heat emission. The ultra-lightweight display frames are constructed entirely of recycled plastic.

Each standard sized 8.5? X 11? Sentina uSign frame consumes only 6 watts of power, which translates to an operating cost of less than a penny per-day in normal usage. Finally, and perhaps most importantly of all, each 8.5″ X 11″ display costs only $80.00.

Standard-sized Sentina uSigns can be vertically or horizontally stacked or hung in any kind of retail environment. Sentina uSigns eliminate the need to constantly produce a high volume of costly and wasteful printed menus, price sheets, and handouts. Now business owner/operators simply need to print out an 8.5? X 11? film sheet and place it in the Sentina uSign frame.

The addition of the new uSignStore.com online production service bureau will provide an additional measure of customer support, Noguchi emphasized. “This on-demand service bureau will allow uSign customers to work with a team that is totally oriented to meet the artwork and advertising needs of the uSign customer.

Headquartered in Kenilworth, New Jersey, Sentina is a manufacturer of innovatively designed, affordably priced consumer and business LED lighting solutions, household, travel and mobility, products that are both energy and cost efficient.
