HOPEWELL JUNCTION, NEW YORK – DECEMBER 2010: While some folks hope for warm slippers this holiday season and others wish most ardently for the latest handheld electronics to beam joy into their pockets, the pro audio enthusiast dreams bigger. The good people at Metric Halo understand, and they have announced deep price cuts on a range of +DSP licenses for Metric Halo’s revered interfaces so that gift givers can give more freely. But the givers had best get on it – THE SALE ENDS ON JANUARY 7th, just in time for a long, cold winter. Won’t it be nice to warm up with a frothy cup of cinnamon swirl DSP?

But seriously, Metric Halo interfaces are cherished not only for their first-rate preamps and refreshingly transparent AD and DA conversion, but also for their powerful DSP capabilities. With the +DSP option, a Metric Halo interface becomes a complete high-end audio mixer and monitoring system capable of sophisticated signal processing that is useful in live and mixdown applications, by itself or with a computer. “With a +DSP license or TransientControl license you can transform your box into a live drum processor, a speaker controller, a submixer, a monitor mixer, and much more,” explained Metric Halo’s Allen Rowand. “And it can do all these things while retaining the ability to record and playback from your computer with either the Record Panel or your DAW of choice. We have created a series of demo videos available at our website to get users up to speed with these powerful tools.”

The price cuts are substantial. The TransientControl license is being introduced for just $99. A full +DSP license, normally $699, is now just $524. The 2d Card Upgrade, normally $400, sells for three quarters on the dollar, just $300. Finally, the 2d Card Upgrade for the ULN-2, normally $550, delivers for only $412. Again, the sale ends January 7th.
