KUDO, KARA, SB18, 108P/112P and 115XT HiQ top the lists

OXNARD, California — With “thousands upon thousands” of reader votes now officially tallied, ProSoundWeb and Live Sound International report that all five of the L-ACOUSTICS products enrolled in this year’s Second Annual Readers’ Choice Awards have taken the top prize in their respective categories.

L-ACOUSTICS’ KUDO system was named a winner in the field of large-format line arrays, while the company’s compact new KARA element was likewise honored in the small-format line array class. The manufacturer’s P Series enclosures — 108P and 112P — won an award for portable/powered loudspeakers, with subwoofer and stage monitor prizes going to the SB18 and 115XT HiQ, respectively.

“We feel honored to receive this recognition for all five of the systems we submitted for nomination this year and would like to express our gratitude to the many readers and professionals who voted for us,” says L-ACOUSTICS Marketing Director Stéphane Ecalle.

“L-ACOUSTICS’ WST line array systems — such as our K1, KUDO, KIVA and, now, KARA — have certainly enjoyed tremendous recognition and success over the years, but it is particularly exciting for us to see our coaxial P and XT ranges now receiving awards as well,” he continues. “These products offer the same uncompromised sonic signature as their WST siblings but in an even more highly-compact, versatile form. The coaxial point-source technology is particularly valuable in sound reinforcement as most listeners are located off-axis from the system yet still benefit from an extremely natural, studio monitor-quality sound.”
