Schutte Brings Extensive Sales Management and Broadcast System Integration Experience to New Role

MELVILLE, N.Y. — Feb. 3, 2011 — Chyron today announced the appointment of Gary Schutte as North American director of channel sales. Schutte joins Chyron with more than 25 years of experience in sales and management for broadcast products. In this new position, his primary responsibility will be to build Chyron’s channel sales relationships, with a particular focus on system integration partners.

“Gary’s wealth of experience in this industry over many years will be a valuable asset as we move to a more structured, disciplined channel partner program,” said Bruce Levine, vice president of North American sales at Chyron. “As he evaluates the efficiency and success of our current channel partner program, Gary will be charged not only with building new relationships, but also with driving forward successful existing channel partner relationships.”

Schutte’s extensive industry experience includes sales and management roles within well-established vendors to the broadcast, cable, corporate, and government markets. He most recently served as vice president of U.S. sales for Artel Video Systems.

Schutte earlier was the vice president of sales for the Central United States for Harris Corporation, where he oversaw the regional sales staff and more than 25 reseller channels, increasing channel sales by more than 20 percent. As sales engineering architect at TI Broadcast Integration Group, he managed a highly successful national sales program designed to facilitate broadcasters’ conversion to digital. Prior roles included vice president of sales for the Central and Western United States at Leitch Technology and regional sales management roles at Accom Inc., Abekas Video, Microsoft/Softimage, and NEC.
