Chyron’s Paul Glasgow to Join Debate ‘The Cloud: A Year On’ at Broadcast Video Expo 2011

LONDON — Feb. 10, 2011 — Chyron today announced that Paul Glasgow, vice president of EMEA sales, will be a panelist for the Broadcast Video Expo (BVE) debate, “The Cloud: A Year On.” The debate, scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 15, is a follow-up to the BVE’s 2010 discussion about remote access to editing services, storage, and rendering. Glasgow and other participants will tackle questions about the cloud and discuss if and how the dream of one year ago has become a reality.

At Chyron, Glasgow is closely involved in developing the company’s broadcast graphics and cloud services business, including the Chyron AXIS graphics platform, a cloud-based service that has become the industry leader in on-demand graphics. The world’s only cloud-computing graphics creator designed specifically for the broadcaster, AXIS simplifies, streamlines, and facilitates the graphics creation workload across many users in a broadcast operation — from reporters to production assistants to news producers.

An industry veteran of 25 years, Glasgow has a long history of deploying leading-edge media technologies and processes. Chyron will have a presence at BVE Stand # H10, where visitors can drop by and see Chyron AXIS in action.

BVE is the biggest show of its kind in the U.K. The expo, Feb. 15-17 at Earls Court 2 in London, will feature products from more than 240 exhibitors and offer more than 180 technical and business seminars.
