T.G. Baker (Sound) Ltd. Installs More Than 100 JBL PD Series Loudspeakers In Ireland’s Aviva Stadium

Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland is a state-of-the-art, 51,000-capacity facility for sports, concerts and special events. Its waveform-shaped architecture is striking in design, and houses four tiers of seating, with seven stories of floors and two basement levels. Aviva Stadium is the home of the Irish rugby union team and the Republic of Ireland national football team.

Audio for Aviva Stadium is provided by a massive JBL sound system that includes 105 Precision Directivity (PD) Series loudspeakers, augmented by Application Engineered (AE) Series AM6200/64 speakers. The system also includes Crown Audio amplifiers and BSS Soundweb London signal processing, connectivity and control products. Crown Audio To Host Online Seminar: Installation Applications for the PIP-USP4 Processing Module

Crown Audio will be offering an online seminar, “Installation Applications for the PIP-USP4 Processing Module,? on March 24 at 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, and on March 25 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The seminar, presented by Crown’s Director of Application Engineering, Bradford Benn, will cover the features and applications of the PIP-USP4.

The Crown PIP-USP4 is a fourth generation DSP PIP™ (Programmable Input Processor) input module for CTs Series two channel amplifiers. The USP4 connects to an Ethernet network allowing it to be remotely controlled and monitored via Harman HiQnet ™ System Architect ™. In addition, the USP4 allows the transport of real-time digital audio via CobraNet™ or AES.

Doug Mekanik Joins A.C.T Lighting in Tech Support

A.C.T Lighting has expanded its team of highly qualified professionals with the addition of Doug Mekanik as a Technical Support specialist. In his new role, Mekanik will support the entire range of A.C.T Lighting products, including MA Lighting, Clay Paky, LiteWare and W-DMX, as well as train customers on the use and operation of those products.

“I’m excited to be joining A.C.T Lighting and begin training programmers on the grandMA2 console,” says Mekanik. “It’s going to be great to work closely with a whole new level of programmers and productions.”
