E4 Product Launch Preview: Draper Curved Screens
The E4 AV Tour continues grow as a launch for new products. At this year’s San Francisco event on April 6th, Draper will release brand new curved frame versions of the Clarion and Onyx screens. It’s part of Drapers’ move to respond to the increasing need for customization in the market, both for home theater and commercial applications such as simulation, or applications requiring edge blending.
“Curved screens are not brand new of course,” says Jim Hoodlebrink, Rental/IDS Manager at Draper. “However as they rapidly grow in popularity Draper has responded to the market by bringing out a more decorative frame and the ability to custom curve the screen to fit the customers’ needs.” The integrated decorative frame–in black velvet–saves the step of fitting a cover onto the typical extruded aluminum frame, insuring a nicer finish, and the ability to customize the screen curvature can be make-or-break for both the look and function of many applications, Hoodlebrink explains. “These are things that are difficult for customers to do on their own,” he points out and Draper can offer these customizations at competitive prices. At E4 Draper will also show for the first time their recently announced Custom Lifts for flat panels, video conferencing cameras, speakers, microphones, etc., as well as their Scissors Lift and Access XL screen line.
