Tecom Lecterns Revolutionizes ‘User-Friendly’

TechPod Lite Lectern

New York – 28 March 2011 – Research done on the subject of progressive educational tools has proven that teachers are having difficulties adjusting to new forms of advanced technology in the classroom, while more and more students are basing their choice of University on an institutions ability to offer advanced classroom technology. Tecom, developer of the industry-leading TechPod Multimedia Lecterns, is excited to launch its newest lectern, the TechPod Lite – a solution so simple it should eradicate teacher’s struggle with this advanced technology all together.

TechPod Lite is a complete solution for any classroom, boardroom and training room. Quick to install, the TechPod Lite features a true plug and play capability, with no need for labor or refurnishing. It can be installed in new or existing facilities, requiring only power and reducing TCO. The unique Dell uSFF PC has an energy-conscious design including up to 90% efficient power-supply, a slim chassis, and powerful technology and reliability. The interactive screen and sound system are already conveniently integrated into the stylish lectern, which can be branded with a university or company logo on the lecterns front surface.

The TechPod Lite was built in accordance with presenters input, offering its users the simplest technology possible: one click to start the session and one click to switch from local PC to laptop. The self – explanatory lectern eliminates the need to educate users on the system. Simply insert a DVD or connect a USB device to start your presentations or to play music. Alternatively, you can connect your laptop to the port for an immediate, easy presentation to your audience. The interactive pen display allows speakers to easily annotate on any text file, picture and even movies and quickly broadcast them to the audience. The lecterns annotation software will be familiar to all Microsoft users as all icons are easily recognizable.

“Technology has never been this easy? states Aviv Brosilovski, CEO, Tecom. “Now there is no reason for teachers to feel uncomfortable when getting in front of the classroom and using these advanced educational tools, and great opportunity for Universities to modernize their classrooms and give students the educational tools they deserve?.

Tecom Electronics will begin shipping TechPod Lite Lecterns this April and will be displaying it’s latest technology at InfoComm, on June 15-17th in Orlando, Florida. Tecom will be at booth 2532.
