Powerline Control Systems Bolsters Distribution Outlet

Powerline Control Systems, Inc., the manufacturer of PulseWorx lighting control for residential and light commercial applications, and inventor of Universal Powerline Bus® (UPB) technology, has signed distribution agreements with four distributors: AARTech in Toronto, Ontario; MRI Direct in Plainville, Conn. and Marlborough, Mass.; Royal Systems in Melville, N.Y.; and TechSource Distributors in Philadelphia.

“As Powerline Control Systems continues to grow the PulseWorx brand, it important that we align ourselves with strong partners who can help us connect with integrators,” said Scott Klodowski, director of sales and marketing for PCS. “Each of these distributors has a proven record of providing the best in customer service and support to integrators within their respective regions and we look forward to working with these companies to connecting those integrators with lighting control solutions for all applications.”

All four distributors will offer a complete array of PCS products, including the new Mi Lightstyle, the SIK-4 Security Interface Package and the 4- and 6-Zone Retrofit Light Package, which are perfect for any retro-fit and new construction lighting control applications as well.

Mi Lightstyle is an independent, cost-effective home automation solution that is easily controlled by any Internet-connected, PCS PulseWorx or UPB device. Unlike most home automation solutions, which take a significant amount of time, resources and programming to install, Mi LightStyle is a simple, universal plug-and-play solution. Once installed, Mi LightStyle enables an end user to easily monitor, control and manage PCS, UPB-driven and third party products – create advanced times, triggers and events based on status of the devices, time of day, even local weather conditions – from any device that can connect to the Internet.

The PCS Security Interface Package provides professional integrators with a lighting control solution that easily ties into virtually any security system. The Security Interface package, which includes a UPB Bridge, four programmable 600W Wall Switches and a 4-prong Passive Phase Coupler, enables a security or home automation panel transmitting X-10 to communicate directly to PCS’ UPB-driven devices.

PCS’ RLK-4 Retrofit Light Package, including one Keypad and three Wall Switches, come pre-programmed with seven basic scenes to have a fully-functional system up and running right out of the box. The easy-to-install lighting packages are designed to work with the existing electrical framework of a home or building, eliminating professional integrators’ need to run new wires. Once installed, the lighting system can be modified to the unique demands of the end-user via PCS’ simplified UPStart configuration software.
